Chapin is a gateway community to beautiful Lake Murray and a GREAT place to live. It is conveniently located near fine schools, shopping, recreation and, within 23 miles of Columbia, the capital city of South Carolina. The Town of Chapin is in Lexington County with a town population of 628 (2000 Census). The 10 mile radius population is app. 40,000 and Lexington County is app. 216,000.

Chapin is located off Interstate 26 at exit 91. The central town area is located just 2 miles from I-26 and Lake Murray is about 6-7 miles from the town of Chapin.

Farm Boy's Barbeque (Open Thursday - Saturday) at 1250 Chapin Road (U.S. 76)
LaFogata Mexican at 105 Amicks Ferry Road (just off U.S. Highway 76).
